| Published support-cost label | No language- or learning-support tariff appears on the current primary-undated fee page. | Combined school label — “English as an Additional Language / Learning Support”: ฿21,000–฿70,000/year. |
Do not compare the lowest and highest numbers as though they cover the same grade. Read each school’s fee-structure row, then request the exact grade invoice. Registration, meals, transport, books, support and external examinations can materially change the first-year and recurring totals.
BEST publishes Thai-English Bilingual EP · Thai MoE for Kindergarten 1-Secondary 6; ISC Pattaya publishes English National Curriculum · EYFS · Key Stages 1-2 for 2-11. Ask for a current weekly timetable, not only a curriculum logo, so you can see which subjects are actually taught in each language.
BEST publishes ฿47,000–฿166,000/yr standard tuition; ISC Pattaya publishes ฿180,000–฿370,800/yr standard tuition; 3% annual prepayment: ฿174,600–฿359,676. Compare the grade-specific total after mandatory registration and extras, not the endpoints alone. If the range covers very different ages, the child’s own row matters more than either endpoint.
BEST: primary-undated, checked 27 July 2026. ISC Pattaya: 2026/27, checked 27 July 2026. The comparison uses standard published tuition before full-year-payment discounts; discounted figures are labelled as such. A primary-undated schedule is school-published but cannot safely be assigned to an academic year. Save the dated school document or email alongside the offer.
Compare each published age span with the year your child needs. If either school ends before graduation, shortlist the next school and price that transition now. BEST: no boarding in the record. ISC Pattaya: no boarding in the record.
Ask both schools for a dated, grade-specific invoice separating tuition, registration, deposit, meals, transport, books, uniforms, support and examination charges. Also confirm the teaching language, qualification route and next transfer point in writing.

BEST and ISC both use English in their published offers, but they are not the same route at different prices. BEST is a Thai-English bilingual English Programme through Secondary 6. ISC publishes English National Curriculum primary stages for ages 2–11. The first question is whether a family wants Thai-English bilingual continuity through the end of secondary school or an English National Curriculum primary setting followed by a planned Year 7 transfer. That is a language and qualification decision before it is a fee decision.
Ask both schools how they place a child arriving from another system. A child may be comfortable speaking English but need different support with Thai, academic vocabulary, assessment style or classroom routine. Ask for the proposed year group, the language used for core subjects, the support available, whether it is compulsory or charged separately and how parents receive progress information. A school label does not answer those questions; the child-specific admissions offer should.
ISC’s published span ends after primary, so its families should treat the Year 7 move as part of the plan from the start. Ask how records are prepared, how the school supports the final primary years and what information a future secondary school will need. BEST’s published span continues through Secondary 6, but that does not make every future option automatic. Ask how the bilingual programme prepares students for the family’s intended Thai or international next step, and how subjects, examinations and university guidance work at secondary level.
BEST’s live fee image is undated. Its annualised tuition runs from ฿47,000 in Kindergarten 1–2 to ฿166,000 in Secondary 4–6, with separate combined application, registration and insurance totals. ISC publishes its 2026/27 structure with annual-payment figures that include a 3% full-year prepayment discount; term payments are higher. Do not compare a BEST undated annual number with an ISC discounted annual number and call it a like-for-like saving.
Ask for the same worksheet from both schools: exact year-group tuition, fee year, number of payments, application, registration, insurance, deposit, food, transport, books, uniform, activities, trips, exams and support. Mark every item compulsory, optional, refundable, non-refundable or quote-only. BEST publishes bus and food services without current prices for them; ISC identifies meals, transport and learning support as separate. Unknown is not included.
BEST and ISC both sit in the wider Banglamung area, but a commute, class routine and parent communication style can still decide the fit. Test drop-off and collection times, ask whether the home is served by transport, and see the child’s likely year group rather than only a showcase classroom. Ask how a new child is assessed, who coordinates support and what happens after-school activities finish.
Before accepting either place, keep the dated fee evidence, written quote, placement note and payment terms together. The right decision is the one where the child’s language environment, future route, daily journey and complete written cost all work together—not simply the school with the smallest headline tuition number.
Give admissions the child’s date of birth, current reports, language background, support needs, home address and intended start date. Ask which class is proposed, what assessment is required, whether there is a place and how the school will manage the first term. This turns a public comparison into two real offers. It also makes clear which fee row applies and whether transport or support is available for the child.
Ask a future-facing question too. If the family chooses ISC, when should it begin planning the Year 7 transfer and what will the next school need? If the family chooses BEST, how does the school explain its secondary pathway, language balance and next qualification options? A shared word such as “English” cannot answer whether the route leads where the family expects.
Finally, review the full first-year budget together before paying a deposit. Tuition, entry charges, insurance, food, transport, books, uniforms, activities, examinations and support should all have a label. Recheck the quote if the year group, start date or payment plan changes. A deliberate choice is one supported by current documents and a sustainable ordinary school day.
Keep every dated fee document, admissions email, placement confirmation and payment term with the child’s school records for later reference.
Before signing, compare the same child, exact school year and payment basis. Confirm whether every service the child needs is included, separately priced or unavailable. Save the answer in writing, and revisit it whenever family circumstances, transport needs or the intended start date change.
Visit the proposed class, test the real commute and ask admissions to state the next transition plan clearly before any payment is made.
Keep current paperwork safely filed and reviewed.
Ask again if terms change.
Decide carefully.
