1. Do you want IB Diploma on American AERO/NGSS — or British IGCSE with A-Level fallback?

Both schools deliver IB Diploma at Sixth Form — this pairing is rare in that respect. The fork is foundation and optionality. ISE runs American AERO + NGSS from primary through IB Diploma — MAP, PSAT, and SAT integration built in, with an American high-school diploma available at G11–12 alongside IBDP. No British IGCSE, no A-Level alternative. Regents runs British EYFS through IGCSE, then offers a real IB Diploma or A-Level choice at age 16 on the same campus — the only Eastern Seaboard school in the directory with both pathways. 2. Do you need boarding on the Pattaya side of Chonburi?

If boarding is required, Regents is the option in this pairing. It boards from Year 3 at ฿447,000 standard, or ฿424,650 with its 5% annual-payment option, plus a ฿30,000 retainer. ISE is a day school.

3. Sriracha commute or Pattaya-side Pong — where does your family live?

ISE at Bowin, Sriracha sits ~35 minutes east of central Pattaya — structurally closer for families in Sriracha, Laem Chabang, or the Bowin industrial corridor. Regents at Pong, Banglamung sits on the Pattaya side — typically 15–25 minutes from central Pattaya depending on traffic. Neither is walkable from Jomtien or Naklua without a bus. If you anchor east of Pattaya, ISE wins logistics; if you live in Pattaya City, Pratumnak, or need Pattaya-side community, Regents wins. Test both school-run commutes before enrolling.

4. Can you budget ISE tuition-only vs Regents premium band?

On standard 2026/27 tuition, ISE is lower at every displayed peer: ฿357,600 Pre-K versus Regents ฿464,000 Pre-Nursery; ฿514,200 K–G5 versus ฿649,000 Years 1–2; and ฿646,000 G11–12 versus ฿899,000 Years 12–13. Both publish full-payment discounts, so compare the same basis and then add excluded services.

5. WASC small-school US track — or Nord Anglia network at scale?

ISE holds WASC accreditation since 1999 and runs a deliberately small campus (a published student-to-teacher ratio below 8:1, with current enrolment not published) inside Burapha Golf Club — intimacy, American transcript portability, and TOEFL/SAT integration over Nord Anglia scale. Regents sits inside Nord Anglia Education — 80+ schools across 30+ countries, MIT for STEM and Juilliard for performing arts partnerships, an IB World School record dating to 2002, cross-network teacher exchanges and relocation portability. Regents does not currently publish a campus-specific CIS claim; its Education Development Trust and ONESQA accreditation statements are school-published claims. If your family relocates globally and wants Nord Anglia transfer options, ask for the current transfer policy in writing. If you want the only American-through-IB pathway in the directory at lower published tuition with WASC audit rigour, ISE.

Summary verdict

• Choose ISE if: American AERO/NGSS through IB Diploma fits your plan; WASC accreditation and a deliberately small cohort (current enrolment not published) matter; you live east of Pattaya (Sriracha, Bowin); MAP, PSAT, SAT integration fits US-university planning; lower published tuition at every peer band matters; and you accept day-school-only with no A-Level fallback at 16.
• Choose Regents if: you need boarding from Year 3 on the Pattaya side; you want IB Diploma or A-Level as a real choice at 16; British IGCSE foundation through Sixth Form fits your credentials plan; Nord Anglia global platform and its IB World School record matter; premium campus scale justifies ฿854K at Sixth Form; and the Pong commute works for your family.

Compare the same payment basis

Start with standard 2026/27 tuition for the child’s exact stage. ISE’s published range is ฿357,600–฿646,000; Regents’ standard range is ฿464,000–฿899,000. Regents’ separately published 5% full-year-payment figures run ฿440,800–฿854,050, while ISE also publishes a full-payment discount. Keep both discounts on their own lines with the qualifying date, cash-flow requirement and refund conditions. A discounted figure at one school should not be compared with standard tuition at the other.

Then build first-year and later-year columns. At ISE, include application, enrolment, refundable security deposit, lunch, bus, uniform, IB examinations and any assessed EAL charge. At Regents, include application, age-band enrolment, experiential fee, meals, transport, projected examinations, any EAL or personalised support, and boarding plus its retainer where relevant. Mark each item mandatory, optional, refundable, annual, termly or one-time. An unpublished price remains quote-required, not zero.

Price optionality only if the child can use it

ISE offers an American high-school diploma alongside the IB Diploma route. Regents offers IB Diploma or A-Level after its British and IGCSE foundation. Ask each school for the current senior subject list, prerequisites, timetable blocks, minimum cohort rules, counselling sequence and examination charges. Optionality is valuable when the pupil’s intended subjects actually run and their prior study supports entry; a pair of programme logos is not enough.

For a younger pupil, ask how present teaching builds toward those senior choices without letting a distant qualification outweigh classroom fit. Visit the proposed year group, compare teacher feedback and independent work, and ask how English-language or learning support appears in an ordinary lesson. Request the assessed service and price in writing if either school recommends support.

Boarding and scale need their own test

Regents publishes boarding from Year 3; ISE is day-only. A boarding family should request the current handbook, included nights, weekend and holiday routine, prep supervision, medical care, guardianship, device rules and additional charges. Visit the relevant boarding house during a normal week. A day family should not pay conceptual value for boarding it will never use, but may still value the larger peer group and activity structure that accompany Regents’ scale.

At ISE, ask for the actual class and graduating-cohort size rather than treating the published student-to-teacher ratio as proof of every group’s size. Small-school familiarity can be a strength, but subject choice, activity depth and peer dynamics depend on the relevant cohort. Compare the product this child will enter, not a general description of “small” or “large.”

Finish with the real weekly routine

Run both commutes during school traffic and obtain exact bus quotes to the home address. Record pickup time, ride duration and late-activity returns. The final decision should combine the child-specific class, complete invoice, usable qualification route, boarding or day routine and weekly travel. That evidence explains whether ISE’s American/IB day-school model or Regents’ British dual-pathway scale is the better fit.
