Published support-cost labelNo language- or learning-support tariff appears on the current 2026/27 fee page.ESL is a published programme/tuition category at ฿120,000/year, not a separate learning-support tariff.

Do not compare the lowest and highest numbers as though they cover the same grade. Read each school’s fee-structure row, then request the exact grade invoice. Registration, meals, transport, books, support and external examinations can materially change the first-year and recurring totals.

// 02 · The decision framework

Five questions.
Five answers.

1. Which curriculum and teaching language fit the child?

REPS Ban Chang publishes Thai MoE bilingual · Cambridge + Oxford supplementary materials for 1-18; BJP publishes English National Curriculum pathway · IGCSE pathway through Year 10 · GED preparation · ESL support for 2-16. Ask for a current weekly timetable, not only a curriculum logo, so you can see which subjects are actually taught in each language.

2. Which number belongs to the child’s exact grade?

REPS Ban Chang publishes ฿84,800–฿153,800/yr standard tuition; BJP publishes ฿80,000–฿120,000/yr standard tuition. Compare the grade-specific total after mandatory registration and extras, not the endpoints alone. If the range covers very different ages, the child’s own row matters more than either endpoint.

3. Is the fee evidence current enough for a commitment?

REPS Ban Chang: 2026/27, checked 27 July 2026. BJP: 2026/27, checked 27 July 2026. The comparison uses standard published tuition before full-year-payment discounts; discounted figures are labelled as such. Save the dated school document or email alongside the offer.

4. Does the school cover the family’s full time horizon?

Compare each published age span with the year your child needs. If either school ends before graduation, shortlist the next school and price that transition now. REPS publishes weekly boarding at ฿160,000/year and full boarding at ฿170,000/year, plus a ฿10,000 refundable boarding deposit. BJP: no boarding in the record.

5. What belongs in the written admissions quote?

Ask both schools for a dated, grade-specific invoice separating tuition, registration, deposit, meals, transport, books, uniforms, support and examination charges. Also confirm the teaching language, qualification route and next transfer point in writing.

Summary verdict

  • REPS Ban Chang deserves the shortlist when its published curriculum, age span and total grade-specific invoice fit the child.
  • BJP deserves the shortlist when its published curriculum, age span and total grade-specific invoice fit better.
// 03 · compare the routes

Bilingual continuity.
Or an English pathway.

REPS and BJP publish relatively accessible fee bands, but they lead through different systems. REPS follows a Thai Ministry bilingual route through Secondary 6; BJP describes an English National Curriculum pathway, IGCSE preparation through Year 10 and a separate GED option.

Confirm the exact programme

Ask both schools to put the proposed class, start date and placement basis in writing. At REPS, request the current timetable showing which subjects are taught in Thai and English and where Cambridge or Oxford materials supplement the Thai route. At BJP, ask how the English pathway is sequenced by year, which subjects form the IGCSE preparation and what happens after Year 10.

For an older child, confirm examination registration, awarding body, subjects expected to run and the credential the route is designed to produce. BJP’s GED preparation is a distinct option and should not be treated as identical to its IGCSE pathway. Ask likely receiving institutions to verify important recognition questions independently.

Compare the classroom actually offered

Observe a normal lesson in the proposed year. Note teaching language, how unfamiliar work is explained, how pupils receive feedback and how teachers respond to different working speeds. Request anonymised pupil work and the report format parents receive. A materials brand or curriculum label is less informative than evidence from the class the child will join.

If language or learning support may be needed, ask who assesses it, what provision occurs in class, frequency, group size, review date and cost. BJP publishes an ESL tuition row, but the family still needs to know what it includes. REPS has no current public learning-support tariff, so obtain any child-specific provision and price in writing.

Reconcile 2026/27 totals

REPS annualised tuition is ฿84,800 for Nursery, ฿105,400 for Kindergarten, ฿129,400 for Primary and ฿153,800 for Secondary. Application is ฿1,000; enrolment is ฿10,000 for Nursery or Secondary and ฿20,000 for Kindergarten or Primary; the refundable damage deposit is ฿10,000. A ฿10,000 non-refundable waiting-list booking fee applies when used.

REPS also publishes optional extra classes at ฿9,900 per semester, bus at ฿18,100–฿27,700 per semester and visa documents at ฿15,000 per family. Kindergarten tuition includes lunch, snacks, milk and resources, but do not extend that inclusion to other grades without written confirmation. Weekly boarding is ฿80,000 per semester and full boarding ฿85,000, plus a refundable boarding deposit.

BJP’s tuition is ฿80,000 for Preschool, ฿100,000 for Kindergarten or Reception and ฿120,000 for Primary, Secondary and ESL, with ฿12,000 annual registration. Two instalments add ฿5,000 and three add ฿10,000. Books or course materials, insurance, canteen, bus and uniform are separately priced.

Build totals for acceptance, the complete first year and a recurring year. Compare REPS and BJP on the payment pattern the family will use, and apply sibling discounts only after written confirmation. Include boarding only if genuinely relevant. Record refundability, notice periods and due dates beside every material sum.

Test the future exit

REPS publishes continuity through Secondary 6 in the Thai bilingual route. Ask how graduates use that credential and what English-language evidence may accompany applications. BJP’s recorded span ends at 16, so identify the next route before enrolment: later secondary study, GED, another qualification or transfer. Ask when applications should begin and what transcript BJP supplies.

Run one relocation scenario for both schools. Ask a likely receiving school how it would place the child and which reports, examination records and language evidence it needs. This turns vague portability claims into a concrete document and timing check.

Measure the weekly reality

REPS is in Pala, Ban Chang; BJP is near Siam Country Club in Banglamung. Drive both routes at actual school times and include work, siblings and activities. If considering REPS boarding or either bus, obtain exact pickup, return, supervision and weekend arrangements rather than treating transport as a solved line item.

Finish with one sheet covering placement, language by subject, classroom evidence, complete costs, support, travel and the next pathway checkpoint. Save the offers and calendars together and resolve every documented mismatch before the acceptance deadline and before paying any non-refundable charge.
