MIS all-in rows add its compulsory supplementary fee before comparison. MIS remains lower at the displayed peers: Year 7 all-in ฿442,500 versus Regents standard ฿765,000; Year 10 all-in ฿524,700 versus ฿890,000; and MIS Year 12 all-in ฿609,000 versus Regents Years 12–13 standard ฿899,000. Regents’ 5% annual-payment option reduces those standard figures. Add entry, transport, boarding and assessed support separately.
If yes — Regents, full stop. It is the only school in this pairing — and one of only three premium British schools in the directory — offering both IB Diploma and A-Level on the same campus at age 16. MIS runs Cambridge A-Level only. If your child might want IBDP, enrolling at MIS now means switching schools at Year 10 or accepting A-Level as the only path. See also TPIS vs Regents for another Nongprue British school with the same A-Level-only constraint.
If boarding is required, Regents is the option in this pairing. It boards from Year 3 at ฿447,000 standard, or ฿424,650 with its 5% annual-payment option, plus a ฿30,000 retainer. MIS is a day school.
If Nongprue, Huai Yai, or inland Banglamung near Mabprachan Lake — MIS wins on commute. MIS sits on Chaiyaponvithi 25 in Nongprue; Regents is in Pong, typically 15–25 minutes away depending on traffic. Same district as TPIS and BPIS. If you are coastal (Jomtien, Pratumnak), both require a bus — but Regents's Nord Anglia bus network is more established for Pong routes. Do not choose MIS for "Pattaya beach proximity" — neither school is walkable from the coast.
MIS is lower at every displayed peer after adding its compulsory supplementary fee: Year 7 all-in is ฿442,500 versus Regents standard ฿765,000; Year 10 is ฿524,700 versus ฿890,000; and MIS Year 12 is ฿609,000 versus Regents Years 12–13 standard ฿899,000. Regents’ 5% annual-payment option is shown separately.
If you have a 2-, 3-, or 4-year-old and want genuine Montessori-on-EYFS before British primary at Year 1, MIS is the only school in this directory. Regents runs standard EYFS with IPC through Nord Anglia — no Montessori programme. If your family relocates internationally and you want seamless Nord Anglia transfers across 80+ schools with MIT/Juilliard partner programmes, Regents is the network play. MIS is independent Cambridge CAIE — lower fees, transparent line-item budgeting, published ELS tiers for non-native English speakers. See MIS vs TPIS if you want the other Nongprue British school half a kilometre away.
You want Nongprue British with dual exam boards and ISP network — run MIS vs TPIS or TPIS vs Regents. You want the most affordable secondary international — see MIS vs BPIS. You want premium British A-Level without IB — run Rugby vs Regents. You want IB Diploma without Nord Anglia pricing — see Garden vs Regents or St Andrew's vs Regents.
MIS and Regents both publish British routes in Banglamung, but a child-specific decision needs more than the large difference between their headline fee bands. Reconcile the proposed class, senior pathway, support, scale and complete first-year cash requirement before ranking either offer.
Ask both admissions teams to state the child’s proposed year, the placement evidence and the next three curriculum stages. At senior level, ask for the subject combinations actually available to the child’s likely cohort, minimum numbers for a class to run and guidance on choosing a route. Regents’ published A-Level and IB Diploma optionality should be tested at subject level; MIS families should do the same for its published A-Level route.
For a younger child, compare the daily classroom rather than extrapolating from sixth-form labels. Observe an ordinary lesson, request a current timetable and look at anonymised pupil work from the proposed class. Record how teachers explain unfamiliar tasks, group pupils, give feedback and communicate progress to parents.
Request two dated, grade-specific invoices on the same basis. Include application, enrolment or registration, deposit or retainer, tuition, meals, transport, books, uniforms, trips, examinations, devices, clubs and any language or learning support. Separate compulsory from optional lines and money due before attendance from charges payable later. If one quotation shows an early-payment discount, place its standard amount beside the other school’s standard amount before considering the discount and its deadline.
Regents publishes a 5% annual-payment discount when the 2026/27 tuition is paid by 31 July 2026, plus separate enrolment, examination, experiential-learning and boarding amounts where applicable. Use only the lines relevant to the child, but do not treat discounted tuition as the complete first year. Ask MIS to identify every inclusion and unpriced extra in the same categories, then record the recurring year after one-time charges fall away.
Ask who assesses language, learning or wellbeing needs, what can be provided in class, which services carry an additional fee and how progress is reviewed. If support matters to enrolment, request staffing, frequency, group size, duration, review date and price in writing. A broad support statement is not equivalent to a provision plan for this child.
Compare how the child responds to each campus’s class organisation and wider scale. Ask for the actual class size and adult staffing in the offered year, not a schoolwide average. For Regents, distinguish day-school routines from boarding provision unless boarding is genuinely under consideration; for MIS, test whether its classroom model and community give the child the structure or independence they need.
Drive both routes at the intended arrival and collection times, including work, sibling stops and activities. If transport is under consideration, obtain the exact pickup window, route length, supervision and tariff. Put each school calendar beside the family calendar and include care required outside core hours. A journey that appears similar on a map can create a materially different school day.
Finish with one evidence sheet covering placement, teaching, complete first-year and recurring cost, support, commute and the next pathway checkpoint. Save the fee terms, calendar and offer email together. Any missing charge, subject-availability question or support commitment remains open until the school answers it in writing.
MIS is lower at every displayed peer stage. Year 7 all-in is ฿442,500 versus Regents standard ฿765,000; MIS Year 12 all-in is ฿609,000 versus Regents Years 12–13 standard ฿899,000. Regents’ 5% annual-payment option reduces its rows.
No. MIS runs Cambridge A-Level only. Regents offers IB Diploma or A-Level as a choice at age 16 — the only Eastern Seaboard school in the directory with both pathways on one campus.
Regents offers boarding from Year 3 at ฿447,000 standard; the 5% annual-payment saving is ฿22,350, giving ฿424,650, plus a ฿30,000 retainer. MIS is a day school.
Yes — MIS layers proper Montessori methodology onto British EYFS for ages 2–5. Unique in this directory. Regents does not offer a Montessori programme.
If you live in Nongprue and do not need IB Diploma or boarding, MIS is the structural fit. Choose Regents if you need boarding, IBDP optionality at 16, or Nord Anglia network transfers — and accept the Pong commute plus premium fee band.
