2. Is a Dutch language programme a dealbreaker?

St Andrew's publishes three to six hours per week of Dutch language and culture lessons from Reception through secondary, taught by qualified Dutch and Belgian teachers, with CNaVT and IBDP Dutch routes. The school calls it the Eastern Seaboard's only Dutch Stream; it is not a full Dutch-medium parallel curriculum. Garden does not publish comparable Dutch instruction. If sustained mother-tongue Dutch matters, St Andrew's is the structural fit. If your family is English-medium only, this question does not apply — move to fee and network calculus.

4. Do you want IB PYP from primary — or British NC primary without PYP?

St Andrew's runs IB Primary Years alongside British National Curriculum from primary — your child enters the IB framework before secondary. Garden runs British National Curriculum through primary without IB PYP — IB Diploma begins at Sixth Form after IGCSE. If you want IB philosophy embedded from early years and plan to stay IB-consistent through to Diploma, St Andrew's offers structural continuity. If you prefer a traditional British primary without PYP overhead and are committed to IB only at Sixth Form, Garden's model may suit. Both deliver IB Diploma at 16–18 on the same campus.

5. Same Rayong commute — which campus culture fits your child?

Both schools sit in the Ban Chang corridor, but the door-to-door journey and school-run route depend on the family’s address. Garden leans FOBISIA competitive sport and debate events, CIS audit rigour, and a smaller-cohort feel. St Andrew's leans Forest School outdoor pedagogy, eco-literacy projects, Cognita network portability, and a larger 30-rai campus (~450 students). Test both journeys at school-run times, then tour both campuses with your child. The right fit is often temperament — competitive event-circuit child versus ecology-curious outdoors child — plus the real daily route.

Finish with a child-specific offer

Ask both admissions teams to price the same pupil for the same start year. Garden’s latest published schedule in this comparison is 2025/26, while St Andrew’s record uses 2026/27, so the Garden quote must identify the tariff that will actually apply. Keep standard tuition separate from any payment discount, then add application, registration, deposits, meals, transport, books, uniform, trips, examinations and required language or learning support. Mark every missing public price as “quote required,” not zero.

For an older pupil, request the available IGCSE and IB Diploma subjects, entry prerequisites, timetable constraints, counselling sequence and examination charges. For a younger pupil, ask Garden how its British primary route prepares children for IGCSE and later IB, and ask St Andrew’s how PYP is combined with its British curriculum in the proposed class. Visit that class during an ordinary lesson and compare language use, feedback, independent work and support in practice.

The defensible choice is the complete package whose curriculum, daily routine, full invoice and later qualification route suit this child—not the strongest network, result or facility headline viewed alone.
